Ubuntu 11.04 ( natty ) has been released !

Today I installed Ubuntu 11.04 Desktop ver. :)

Ubuntu11.04 uses 2.6.38 based-kernel.

How to fly BIG-IP LTM VE in VMware player

Host OS : Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit  (Build 7600) 6.1.7600
VMware Plyaer : 3.1.4 build-385536
BIT-IP LTM VE : BIGIP-10.1.0.3341.1084

1.

Download LTM VE from https://login.f5.com/resource/login.jsp?ctx=719748.
You can use LTM VE for 90 days evaluation.

2.

Install VMware player.

3.

Launch VMware player n’ choose vmx file of LTM VE.


There’s no need to modify LTM VE settings.




4.

start VM.

LTM VE is running in VMware Player.

CLI’s login account is:

user : root
credential : default

By default LTM VE IP address (interface name is eth0:mgmt ) for management will be obtained via DHCP.
You can check management IP by typing ifconfig eth0:mgmt.

access to LTM VE w/ Web Browser ( https://LTM VE’s IP )

GUI login account is :

user : admin
credential : admin


activate an evaluation license. ( Main -> License )



When activating , LTM VE will access to F5’s license activation site.
